The Great Spirit

The Great Spirit is in all things; He is in the air we breathe
The Great Spirit is our Father; but the Earth is our Mother
She nourishes us, so why can't we keep it pure?
When this world was made, it was so neat and clean
Why must mankind be so mean?
The Great Spirit is in all things; He is in the water we drink
But mankind has polluted it, and made it a terrible thing
The Great Spirit is in all things; He is in the land we call home
Hazardous waste has brought grief, and left it full
Nothing but pollute this nation
So God forgive us, and send the Great Spirit to amend it.
He didn't cause this mess by himself, and we constantly want to blame
From his heart, he gives us dollars to rearrange
We must be more receptive, and give him some time to make a change.
