Gravity

You shut off the gravity beneath my skin so that the blood and bones and organs inside of me are suspended. They bounce off of the walls of this body
and
scream for release because they have gotten a taste of
something better. Something that the reality of this world
can never satisfy. You have shattered that reality, and I
feel it exploding within me every time I verify that
you truly exist. That you aren’t some sort of
euphoric hallucination I’ve convinced myself is real
because I’m so desperate to feel again. How somebody so
perfectly divine could have the capacity to embrace my limitless
deficiencies is something I will never understand, and maybe I was never
meant to. For now, I’m just trying to hold myself together despite the boundless universe you injected into my bloodstream the very moment you whispered my name.
