Grateful

I'm grateful for the stars above my head
I'm grateful for the earth below my feet
Grateful for the life which that I've led
And the lands I've yet to meet

I'm indebted to space which I posses
I'm embedded to the body I've come to know
I'm forever changed by circumstantial caress
And bettered by experience that these paths show

I'm learned by each passing day
Passing farther into years
And though my resolve is not as strong as some might say
I'm grateful I face, rather than run from my fears

I'm grateful most for a feeling still
A feeling I fear most of all and above
An emotion I can not live without or kill
An intangible wonder we've come to know as love
