Goodbye,My Friend

At what point did I grow up?

At what age did I lose my innocence?

When did I see the true colors of the world ?

Dark, muddled and no bright hues,

All gilded, we are blinded from the truth.

Losing a friendship is harder than one thinks

The truth is not everyone is meant to stay

This sort of pain creeps up slowly,

Waiting for the right opportunity.

With a sharp blade that pierces through your naive heart.

Friendships don’t last forever.

I knew that when I grew up.
