Goodbye

At such a young age
I watched you leave
I watched you take off
I don't think you meant for this to happen
I truly think you wanted to stay
You wanted to stay on earth
Not fight someone else's battle
As much as I hate to see you in pain
I know I can't stop it
It's like rain
You're just a child
Pure innocence
But what that cancer did to you
Will not fly through
I'll be here praying that you're happy
In heaven where you should be
I'll never give up
And I'll never stop thinking
About what you could have grown into
A young man full of pride
No all that's left
Is one last goodbye
