Gone, Good-bye

I wish you all a sincere farewell,
When I see you again, time will tell.
I’ve come to know you all so much,
It’s sad to say, we will lose touch.

I’ll see in years; five, ten, or twenty.
I know how ever long will be plenty.
Our time together; more then tears.
I can’t believe its been four years.

I remember when I was new,
Then I had a different view.
I thought it would take forever,
And me miss it? No way, not ever.

How deeply wrong I was back then,
Now we are grown women and men.
Soon, we will go our separate ways,
Off into the sunset’s distant rays.

Now I’ve realized what I’ll miss,
Everything here and now, just this.
I know that we all pretend
That this isn’t really the end.

We think, “Oh college is the same.”
When, truly, it’s a different game.
As we walk this hall once more,
Every heart, I know, has tore.

This school, this place, has grown
On us, and it is shown,
On every single face.
We’re gonna miss this place.
