To love as if you were never alive,
To hate as if you would never die,
Your eyes, they glistened as you cried
Their faces, consumed by their laughter
Your misery rose like bile in your throat,
“Nevermore” you wept,
That night you left with intent,
I found you, oh how I wish I didn’t find you,
Strung over that tree,
The rope held your weight,
‘Till I found you,
God, if only he cried,
Maybe then you wouldn’t have died.
