Give a helping hand

You see them sitting there
Cold on the corner
You can't help but stare
But what will they care?
They've lost their dignity
They've lost their pride too
So why would they care
If they got another beady eyed glare?
But that's not all you crinkle your nose too
"Garbage" You think
You do have a dollar to spare
Some food
And even a blanket too
But why would you do that?
All they are is
G
A
R
B
A
G
E
Dirty old hobos
Don't wave at them either
And smile? Don't you dare!
They don't deserve it
I mean aren't you so much better then them?
Yes they might be
Kind
Thoughtful
Forgiving
And nonjudgmental
But you are the one driving the car
You have the house
And the food to eat
So yes of course you are
Better then they are!
NO NO NO!
Knock it off right now
They are a living breathing
Human being
Just as you
Just as me
So stop judging
And being so rude
Give them a prayer
We can change they whole world
So why not start right now?
