Girls like her

Girls like her were landmines.
She was so beautiful, yet so dangerous to look at
Like an eclipse, if you stared too long she'd ruin your eyes.
If I stared too long someone would notice
But I'd go blind trying to memorize the details of her face.
She should have come with a warning lable
The fire within her was intoxicating, the smoke suffocating
The softness of her skin burning amber into mine as they touched
But I was taught to never to play with matches
You see the arsonist in me admired the flames
Despite the welts that came with it

Girls like her were hurricanes.
They say nature is the definition of beauty
Ive never been one for the outdoors
But I could get lost in the mountains of her curves and the waves of her hair Breathtaking landscapes I yearned to explore
Thunderstorms and all
I wanted to dance in the rain and splash in her puddles
But I was taught to bring an umbrella and not muddy up my sneakers
I am tainted by her smile
Poisoned by her lips
A forbidden fruit so forgive me lord for I have sinned for wondering what she tasted like
She was everything I wanted and everything I could not have
A dream you that makes you force yourself to sleep
Because that's the only way you can chase after it

Girls like her are fatal.
So beware for she comes with no warning lable
I am slowly dying, suffocating in her breath
So be cautious
Because if she gets you
It might just feel like living
