Game Like Chess We Play

(OR: Loosing Game We're Playing)

It's always been this way,

This little way we dance

Always being careful

Never taking a big chance

Your turn, my move,

We tried to gauge it so

Strategies used one by one

That's just how it'd go

We always had such fun

Our turns we took with glee

But now there's hesitation

Do you find something wrong with me?

Before it was so easy

We never did complain

Suddenly the table's turning

And now I feel small pains

I'm waiting for your move, dear

Don't leave me in suspense

I'll soon give up and leave this game

And then it all will end

REVISED LAST VERSE:

What are you trying to do dear?

Please don't be this way

I'll soon grow tired and leave this game

It hurts too much to stay
