Now this is a story all about how

My life is currently going right now.

And I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there.

My story won't be boring. I promise you; I swear.

In Highland, Illinois, born and raised.

In school is where I spent most of my days.

Stressing out, studying, getting all A's.

All of the stuff I'm involved in; you'd be amazed.

My classes got harder and my grades weren't as good.

Maybe I didn't study as much as I could.

I got one little c and my mom got scared,

And said you won't get that grade for the quarter. Don't you dare.

I'm workin real hard cause when the end comes near,

You won't find any bad grades here.

If anything I could say my accomplishments are rare,

But I couldn't have done it without my teachers there.

I'm gonna graduate in twenty thirteen.

I'll miss this place, if you know what I mean.

I'm hoping when it's all said and done,

I'm gonna be valedictorian.

(FYI, I ended up 11th in my class)
