Freedom or ...

Romans 6:17-18         New English Translation

17 But thanks be to God that though you were slaves to sin, you obeyed from the heart that pattern of teaching you were entrusted to, 18 and having been freed from sin, you became enslaved to righteousness.

Freedom or …

Can one be enslaved to one’s own thoughts and mind?

Or by a sense of urgency in what needs to be accomplished?

A certain call to duty through an inner-insisting voice

That unexpectedly you discover not to be your own?

Would it be appropriate to find the origination of the noise?

Or would it be procrastinating, if you are schedule-prone?

Clearing thoughts, after a while, remove vagueness without notice

Can one be misled in such a way and still be totally blind to it?

Can goals to be accomplished in one’s own imagination and

Clouds the reality of issues at hand and so they get the best of this

Is blindness at that point chosen by overriding simple desires?

Possibly by ignoring intuition and relying on what one sees

Living by faith is only noticed by what then seems accomplished

And leaning on the Master then becomes very strained indeed
