Freedom atlast

There were no tears or excitement
Just an unfeeling creature who pretended
not too understand
The severity of this life changing event

There were no hugs or tears at the airport
Just a brisk good bye hastily said...
Almost an after thought.

The metal bird soar into the air
Homeland looking like dots from above
Insignificant a speck of dust blown away
Into unimportance along with everything on it

The joy of leaving was so great, the shock of freedom
Metamorphose into nothingness
Euphoric was the feeling
Finally am free

Dreams once seem impossible
Materialized by each mile across the ocean
Into uncharated terrority
There will be test

Hence, I shall not fail am here
Acheiving,a butterfly life renewed
A journey toward a dream
A dream birthed from freedom
