Rolled between my thumb and forefinger
miniscule and beneath everything--
like lint to be flicked away
into nothing, amidst everything bigger.
Blasting my fist into a coffee table,
Shattered glass rains onto old, dirty and stained carpet.
Shards pressed firmly into the creases of my bright pink skin.
It was you to blame, and I did.
Smiling a wicked grin full of plastered teeth and grimy lips
A blush rises to my cheeks, and fades as fast as the sun.
You roll away, dust twigs and grass from my tangled hair
And leave your footsteps in the mud as payment.
