flight
Location
Dear God, make me a bird, so i can fly far,far far away from here.
Make my wings strong and willful,
lighter then my heavy heart
and my feathers so pale and golden
that it will balance my discolored soul.
i wish to be an angel
dear God please do that.
so i that i may fly to the heavens with mine own angel
whose radiance guides me in the blankness of the night
but, he cannot see any better then i, which is why i say
Dear God please, make me a bird, so we can fly far, far far away from here.
away from the burdens of your earth
the structure of your people
and the gravity that pulls me towards the idiocy and anxiety surrounding.
she sang a song of pure loneliness that choked her whispered notes,
strangled her tear-filled lungs,
and suffocated her lacking vision and knowledge to project her love
project her voice out towards the unforgiving world
tell her she can speak
tell her she can sing
she can scream
she can cry
tell her
that you will make her a bird
so that she can fly far, far far away from here.
away from the depth of her demons
to the complexity of her anguished mistakes.
she yearns
desires
to fly
to reciprocate real love
to evaluate only her wants and needs
to experience her passions
to demonstrate what her past has taught her
to obtain the future she so rightly deserves
and to maliciously fall so deeply in love with herself that no one will yank the roots of her compassion from its nurtured soil
no one.
so please
God
make me a bird, so i can fly far, far far away from here
so that i may return from your kingdom
and return to my palace
to recreate
my being
my legacy
my love
and my hate
to forgive those who have wronged me,
and to cherish my own wings
you have already given to me.
