i saw the light fade into dark

i felt the spark ignite a fire

an awful fire

that i could not control

it burned so cold

the flames froze my heart

and paralyzed my soul.

i couldn’t move

not forward, not backward

frozen in fear

panic took over my life

i felt the attack rising

my blood ran cold, my muscles tensed in and out

and paralyzed my soul.
