Fighting the Storm

This year has tested me.

Tested my strength,

Tested my courage,

Tested my ability.

Problems arising like constant showers during a storm,

All day and all night,

It's never ending.

Wind always blowing

And stirring up the storm more and more with every blow.

When you wake up, you're drenched

With struggles and sorrow

That leave you sad and depressed.

Right when you think the storm becomes calm,

Lightening strikes again.

You have to fight the storm and be bold.

Until you see the light

And overcome the cold.

After that, you future will be bright

A magical, colorful rainbow appears

And you know you are done with the nasty sneers.

You know that the new year will be filled with cheer

And you no longer have to fear the storm in the coming year.
