That Feeling

That feeling, oh that feeling I now know so well.

The feeling I get when I see you.

Hearing my heart beat faster, and faster like it's about to explode.

But it wasn’t always like that

There was a time I know well one you weren't yet part of.

One where I yet hadn’t fully understood that one overused word Love.

Then On that one fateful day, I laid my eyes upon you is one I will keep with me till I die

I had this obscure feeling which I hadn’t really ever felt

So I shrugged it off as nothing

But over time the feeling grew more and more

I began to notice your wonderful smile that radiated and put the sun to shame,

Your dark brown eyes that expressed compassion and warmth to others,

Your rosy-cheek that glow like the sunrise

oh, your pale smooth silky skin with a hint of pink that blends perfectly as of peaches and cream

That straightly tamed chestnUt brown hair that fit good with any hairstyle you could think of

Your slim and athletic body that seemed it could run across for miles and miles to come.

As time went on these feelings seemed to grow stronger as the days, then months passed

Till on that fateful day, I finally realized what this was the one feeling I never understood: Love

When I realized it felt like being hit by a bus, it hurt in a shocking way

But now I realize as I stand here in front of you

That feeling, oh that feeling.
