Father Almighty

Oh how long it must be now

The peaceful resistance of life,

Where dust is dust

And men are mice.

You raised us

But many have fallen

Who to blame,

God the father

Or my father God?

Your power extends beyond my eyes

Your knowledge is plentiful

Droughts when you reach,

For one day I will know more than you

But only in the eyes of my sons.

I imagine that your kind fought in heaven,

For the children you receive,

Have you won and received?

When lightening strikes I imagine you cringe

At the memory of life on the battle field

Where the sun was hot and your son was missing.

Blessed art tho

Damned am I,

For I am no father

Like a father of mine.
