Fascination
You fascinated me
Early Fall, runny noses
Pale, dry faces
In a room full of obnoxious peers and sleepy eyes
I saw you.
And you fascinated me.
My life was a mess and still is a mess
Unknowing of love or the purpose of my existence,
I’m still ignorant to both of these subjects
But you, you gave me an idea.
I gazed upon you regularly,
not obsessively,
Throughout the days.
The way you held yourself,
Your sense of humor,
Your nervous ticks of excitement,
fascinated me.
Yet, I did not know you, nor did you I.
We continued our busy lives,
Occasionally exchanging awkward glances.
