The Farthest

Familiar sounds, my childhood grounds

But rest is far from me tonight

The voice that hounds, tension abounds

And you are far from me tonight

I try to console my anxious soul

By counting down to the day

For the moment we let go was the farthest, I know

From the moment we'll go home on that day.
