Familiar Support

I float upon this endless sea
My heart and mind in sweet simplicity
And when the storm arrives at last
My peace and calm has gone and past

One deep breath is all I take
Words flow out an open gate
My heart beats quick and yet is silent
My brains amazed at how I hide it

I stand amidst the rain and hail
Hoping the wind will not wail
I wish for the sun and hide my face
Looking for a calmer place

I see my mother standing there
Smiling without a care
She waves to me and says hello
I beg her please stay don't go

And then my brother makes fun of me
Calls me weak and laughs with glee
I know he does it to ease my mind
My older brothers very kind

And with that I raise up my head
I stare at the storm, repeat what I said
The storm blows over, nothing is wrong
The waves sing me a gentle song

Once more upon the sea I float
My mind burns with new found hope
Once more have I found my serenity
Always loving, supporting me
