Falling
As school starts and break ends
It's impossible to get started again.
But no matter how buried the soul can feel
Or how busy the brain can be
The leaves still bring me back to me.
I dread the end, worry of time, and fear the strange,
But find soft subtle comforts in the leaves that change.
I feel shaky...
but these plants do, too.
And how beautiful it is, their colorful hue!
I don't have to seek distraction:
Up, down, and all around, are plants of satisfaction.
No need to get grumpy,
When there's no sun,
Just hop on some leaves for some crunchy fun.
When I find myself falling, falling like lead.
I try to fall like the fall leaves instead.
