Faith and doubt

Matthew 21:19-2119 And seeing a fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it but leaves, and said to it, “Let no fruit grow on you ever again.” Immediately the fig tree withered away. The Lesson of the Withered Fig Tree 20 And when the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, “How did the fig tree wither away so soon?”

21 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done.

Are faith and doubt walking hand in hand in my human frame?

Is my doubt a cane ... to keep me from falling?

Is it my silence talking … as I am a Christian in name

and covered in shame ... I can't hear my Savior calling?

Are faith and doubt related as I lean upon self for vision?

Are they intertwined because of desires of the heart?

Am I antiquated … because of indecision

that I have refined ... until death does us part?

Can I only walk on water when less than one inch deep?

Do I only hear for certain … the echo of my own voice?

Is that why I don’t bother … what Jesus sees in me

not aware of the final curtain that is hanging on my choice?
