Fading Friendships

Infected by the end of innocence,
The once wise and committed friend gave up.
Gave up and turned away.

Sobbing at the fleeting picture
Of their once existent friendship
That is now in the dark distance and covered.
Covered by the black smoke of life.

Emotion lost,
Roses of memory wilted
And shaken by tears.
Until the once invested friendship is now,
Fully scorched and gone.
