The Fading Dead Memory

Location

As I sat there thinking to myself
I felt it happen like needles in my eyes,
Slowly fading and slipping away
I couldn't control it but it was going

Every memory I had of you drifting,
I tried desperately to hold on
Anything to know you weren't just a figment of my imagination,
I knew you were real.

I now lie there
Curious as to what i had so inevitably missed,
I had lost every memory of you
And now you're just a dead memory.
