Faded

Location

The best pair of shoes, that I ever did lose, fit on my feet, like paper to glue.

The best pair of shoes, that I ever did lose, frayed laces abound, yet I did not peruse.

The best pair of shoes, that I ever did lose, so comfy and warm, would prompt me to snooze.

The best pair of shoes, that I ever did lose, soles caked in mud, yet my mood wouldn't gloom.

And wherever did you lose, your best pair of shoes?

They up and ran away! Because that's what shoes do!
