This facade of mine

Where I draw the line

Of interactions past my kind

It keeps me safe

From gasps and gapes

Truly, a gaurd with a shield

The love within

Drives me out on whims

Beyond what you might find akin

From others stole

What keeps me whole

I find it hard to yield

Place blame if you must

This is why I see just

To keep the heart hidden from the dirt and the dust

Of the world as it's judging

And thinking of mugging

My lips remain forever sealed
