Expression: Reflection from the Inside

Inside, I am like a bottle, keeping things in.

Sadness, anger, hurt, and a couple of sins.

How can I unleash what is hiding?

To erase the pain I feel, the pain that's fighting?

I pull out my notebook and my pen,

And I look deep within.

I start to write, it is like the key,

Opening the door to set me free.

The ink dances, painting a creation of raw humanity.

The emotions inside rain down, filling up the paper like a sea.

What has poetry taught me?

To let everything out, so that I can be at peace.
