Everything is Flawed

Tue, 03/31/2015 - 12:23 -- dianaW

I am not skinny, I am not fat

but I'm a little on the heavy side

I have brown eyes that I love

I don't have perfect skin

but I'm okay with that

most girls want to look like the models in magazines

knowing that they are photo shopped

these unrealistic standards are damaging young womens self esteem

I don't want to look like a model

I want to be just me

the model ideal is flawed

the media often portrays women as having power through sex appeal

That is flawed

we need to love who we are

accept yourself, flaws and all

because no one is perfect

and everything is flawed
