Every time

Every Time

Every time I look out the front door .

There’s time to wonder how much more .

She showed me the road and left for the shore .

Took my best car and my friend bob , topped me off with the pug I adore .

So that was once in a thousand times , just like the thousand times before .

Why does making love always turn to unhinged war?

Feeling like I’ve got it down at night in the am limping and sore .

Certain women can’t be taught .

They’d never even consider  being bought.

It’s an affront their upstanding name .

Maybe they don’t want that kind of fame .

Ain’t no good guy aint no bad gal it’s just you and I and we don’t like just getting by .

Told myself that I was finally letting it all go go go .

There was a time when I ghosted this ho .

Time inside without a thought of her .

Here I’m fronting like my love is pure .

Well , it might be but that was many a script change ago .

Dangle me off a skyscraper I couldn’t say for sure .

Probably she knows I can’t stand to lose .

Figured I’d set her up for a fall .

That wasn’t my train of thought , not even at all .

At least that’s what I pretend to

Recall .

So I’m not heading on the road .

Ran out of shit to explode .

She’s not enamored of all the bright lights .

She wants to win more than to ever get it right .

Get her warmed up .... she’ll take your head off with delight .

I’m not impressed but there’s nothing left to do .

Certain women can’t be taught .

They’d never even consider  being bought.

It’s an affront their upstanding name .

Maybe they don’t want that kind of fame .

Ain’t no good guy aint no bad gal it’s just you and I and we don’t like just getting by .

Yeah .... this is both fiction and a lot of fact . The story of the one who loves you and you don't get it and by the time you do .... she's moved on and hasn't quite gotten around to tell you .
