The Eternal Staircase

                        To climb the eternal staircase Means that "enough is not enough".

                                   To look into the sun.         To reach the top is bound

                              My eyes were closed from strain   To end where you began

                         The hiss of ego's tongue.             Men choose to hug the ground;

                    I lost my ears in vain,                             Their hearts too close to land.

               To fall from heaven's grasp.                                     My ears hear love apart

          But men do not desire                                                         To show just who I am.

     Days come or go though lapse.                                                My eyes look to my heart

Birds fly or fall from tire.                                                                   To find just where I stand.
