Equality

From the color of her skin

to the definition of that boy's chin

What can I change?

From the way he walks

To the way that elderly women talks

What can you change?

Because we judge each other by appearances,

Because we judge each other through grimaces,

Because we judge each other through smiles,

we are categorically filing one another in different files,

No mattter what, you are before me,

I am after him,

we are never equal.

What can we change?

Everything and nothing,

no longer categorizing but freelining,

destroying the flesh and embracing the soul.

Not just becoming one

but becoming a whole.

We can truly become equal.
