Engulfed to Vacant
I’ll take you on this journey;
across warm bars of sand,
over regal mountains resting in the verdant pastures.
Embrace the treasures of soil
beneath your naked feet.
As your soul tremors
gazing into unspoiled horizons,
the realm surrounding you
begins to fade:
warm colors painted across exposed skies;
vast piles of soil;
Indigo surfaces
sinking, leaving
yawning abysses.
To exist in this moment without the serenity of nature
would be depriving my soul of peace.
The earth itself,
is the only thing that keeps me sane.
