To End A Life

To end a life so early and so soon,

Does it seem right to offer such a way?

Life is still life in the morning before noon.

We chase the means as if it were a coon,

To have the right legally--we say--

To end a life so early and so soon.

Too many have been fed by the spoon,

Believing the morning is not part of a day.

Life is still life in the morning before noon.

Surely as a nation we are out of tune

When we use all in our array

To end a life so early and so soon.

So what, it's her choice, they croon.

Do you not see how you've been led astray?

Life is still life in the morning before noon.

Chase then, chase after our doom.

Yet be sure there will be a price to pay

To end a life so early and so soon.

Life is still life in the morning before noon.
