The End

Life is short, a brief moment, the blink of an eye.

You're here for nary a second, and then you say goodbye.

Are you willing to say with all of your soul, that this life is it, there is no end goal?

Can you look at the complexity of biology, the order of the universe, the first breath of a child, and the last breath of a dying man, and say "This is it."?

Can you look at the world around you and examine the evidence, know the intrinsic value of life, and that there has to be more than the world with all of its strife,

Feel the yearning in your heart, that desires something more,

And deny it all, saying there's nothing left, though the idea shakes you to the core.

Why is it really that you doubt that God exists?

Why is that you continue to resist?

Life is short, and you cannot possibly know what is just around the bend.

Look at the evidence, what message does it really send?

You can never have complete certainty about what will be, but truthfully, what makes more sense, when you know the value and complexity of both you and me?

Look to Him in the midst of your despair, reach out to Him, and He will be there.

See He never left, He's been here all along.

Cling to Jesus, for He is strong.

Give your all to Him, every burden and all strife,

I promise you if you do it in truth, He will completely change your life.

So give it to Him, lay your burdens down.

Though now lost, you can be found.
