Empty
I see an empty body
I see empty eyes
I feel the cold skin
I hear desperate lies
He sits too still
His car in park
His telephone buzzes
Flashes light, then dark
Days and nights go by like this
Empty body tugging at hearts
We find the car
Empty body cuts scars
He tortures us
He cuts our head, our heart, our gut
An empty body on the side of the road
Was never meant to be his luck
How I wish he could have known
His empty body emptied our souls.
