The Emerald Sea

This transcendental sea
Stretched in miles destiny,
Precincts an outline of hope-
Moreover, anguish.
As all horizons seem to be
Dense in fate of sky and sea.

This mirror of me.
Where waves break glass
And crash the turning key...
The American Dream.
My eyes wide and large
The way looks green
And promising

To those few
That find their way. Through
The sea of glass,
Clearly hue to me.

This poem is about:
Me
My country
