Apart of me can't help but wonder: "Was she real?"

Edgar speaks highly of his Annabel Lee, and then

He speaks of a kingdom, by the sounding sea.

He speaks of the love they shared;

Of the demons and angels who jeered.

For they were jealous of Edgar and his Annabel Lee...~

Were they really demons and angels?

 Or were they simply jealous people?

Did Edgar see those people as beautiful despise their negativity?

Did he consider himself not handsome enough to be a suitor for his Annabel Lee?

Is this why 'her' parents forced him to leave

"the kingdom by the sea?"

Did he really die a mysterious death?

Or did he suffer from a broken heart?

Was it because he and his love were forced apart?

Was it because he had no ounce of wealth?
