e.a.s.

the sheets that catch your body when you collapse, tender,
on your bed as you come home from another exhausting day.

the blanket that you wrap around your body,
just like i would do if i could only embrace you.

the cigarette that gets stuck between your lips during the breaks.
its your addiction, you need it everyday.
how i wish to be your craving and addiction every day.

the alarm clock that gets to be the first one, every morning,
to be touched by your gentle fingers.

the sweater that gets to hang upon your shoulders,
and gets to be the closest to your heartbeat.

i drown in jealousy over all those things,
and to envy something that much has to be a sin.

but, until forever ends,
i will stay unoticed by you;
just like the way
you don't notice
how beautiful you are.
