Dynamic World, Flat Perception

What is culture?

What is distinction?

We live in a spherical world—

The embodiment of existence without limit—

Yet we draw the lines ourselves,

Between age,

Between gender,

Between race.

We take upon ourselves the role of delineator that the earth does not play.

We are our own heroes and our own villains.

We make our culture what it is;

We have made our “culture”

A culture that separates,

A culture that specializes,

Calling out individuals in a misleading voice of praise.

Yet hidden behind the shadows of our objects

Are the edges by which we live our lives,

Out of which we may not escape.

We’ve forced ourselves into a two-dimensional mentality

In spite of this three-dimensional world.
