DRIVE

Ain’t you ever thought about the places we could go?

I thought about it. Think about it.

It’s almost always on my mind.

Slow down you say

woah woah rewind

I don’t even know you that well and here we are

talking about going and I couldn’t even tell you where.

Don’t get scared that easy, we could make a good pair you and me.

Take the desert road all the way

at the end that high way that you always see

and we always say we should go that way.

I know we ain’t known each other that long;

but remember that time we listened

to that song in that car and we held hands

and felt warm even though it was raining outside?

I got that doubt side just like you got that doubt side but

I’m thinking if I don’t go nowhere then I might die and

I’d really like to go with you.

And we’ve never kissed or nothing but I’d really like to do that too.

It’s not as crazy as I think I’m making it sound

I think you and me, we could drive around and

Pitch a tent or two and if we really start

Itching to come back we can

but what if?

What if we go and the open road feels good on our feet

And street after street we get farther away and it feel good

We won’t own nothing we won’t owe nothing to anyone.

Now it don’t have to be that way but it could.

I don’t want to scare you with words like forever but

I never felt this way before and I think if we just

Started then we wouldn’t want to stop.
