Drive

One day I got in my car

I don’t know where I went, I just went far

I wanted to get away

I was going astray

What is life, what is death?

I honestly do not jest

I went for a drive

To a cliff, for a dive

But there she was, in my mind, in my heart

She was there, right from the start

She was my life, she was my love

Exactly like a pure, white dove

I can’t go, not just yet

She’s mine, I mustn’t forget

Learn from me, never run

Escaping love is never fun

So I got in my car

I hope it’s not too late
