The DON'T Want The Truth

Thu, 08/14/2014 - 14:03 -- lilelle

She grew up being told to be honest

She knew she had to be her best

She was told ‘fight for what you believe in’

She spoke her mind far too often

Now she’s being told to be silent

Now she’s unsure of her advancement

Now people have changed her beliefs

She questions everything and never speaks

They want the truth

The truth isn’t always pretty

When it’s ugly she’s being petty

They don’t want the truth

The truth could bring them forward

Now she’s called a coward

She just wants the best for people

She wants them to smile

She needs love too

Who knew
