Don't Give Up

Empty promises, broken hearts,

And tragic endings; they're all just parts

Of where we live and who we are

But the wounds still tend to scar

They leave a mark on mind and soul

Preventing one from being whole

In life and love it's hard to be

Much more significant than a flea

But don't give up, just do your best

At the end you'll get to rest

Time is short and existence fleeting

Please don't let go, keep on believing

Maintain your course on the path of fate

Because good things come to those who wait
