Do we matter?

Countless days on end,
Just blending with the sea of faces.
Trying to pretend,
That we fit into these places.

Asking all these questions,
Yet never getting answers.
Wondering if these suggestions
Will make us an advancer.

How will we ever know,
Being taught only the basics?
Will we ever really grow,
With these same old lame classics?

The world is always changing,
New discoveries are being made.
Why are we just sitting here wasting,
Learning a curriculum that is overplayed?

Thoughts that never seem to stop,
Worries that are always there.
Will we ever learn to come out on top,
Or continue to blankly stare?

So many times,
We've begun to lose count.
Trying to make the climbs,
That will allow us to surmount.

That grade we all fight so hard for,
Kills us with the constant all-nighters.
Though never seeing that satisfying score,
Will bring down all us fighters.

Is it time for us to move on,
Is it time to follow our dreams?
Or are we still caused to yawn,
While falling apart at the seems?

All we really want to know,
Is that we will eventually learn.
Knowledge we would actually stow,
And not cause our brains to burn.
So let our juices flow,
And forget your concern.
For one day you will bow
To the tides we will turn.
