Discrimination

Did you know, that at one point in time,

Being gay was considered a disease?

That it was thought to be an illness?

 

Shocking, I know.

 

I refuse to be labelled a disease -

Simply because I am attracted to women  and men, alike.

 

I am not on the fence.

 

I am not confused.

 

And yes, I'm sure about what I like.

 

Within me, you will not find disease, but a rainbow colored way of thinking

That's open to the support of lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transgenders, pansexuals, asexuals -

And any other sexual orientation.

 

Together, we are beautiful.

Together, we are unique.

Together, we make a community that will shine no matter how much hate we receive.
