Discipling

Isaiah 50:4

The Servant Perseveres

The sovereign Lord has given me the capacity to be His spokesman,
so that I know how to help the weary.
He wakes me up every morning;
He makes me alert so I can listen attentively as disciples do.

Is discipling a program activated or a call from a righteous heart?

Is it preplanned by man or the hereafter or predestined from afar?

That part that is not part of us but a gift through redemption

A heavenly segment that cannot be ruled by flesh

A constant hunger for righteousness and His reflection

That always prioritizes godliness and represents the best

Maybe disciplining lives through the death to ourselves

Surely the obstruction most observed is my own will

Maybe our talk is in the way as it the Spirit quells

An epistle to be read by all as it seldom is heard here still

To drive home a point we don’t need a carriage

To be an example does not need a horn

To find truth and live it surely needs a marriage

With the Lord of All as we name that being reborn
