What is this world?

A place where a test dictates all

where if you can read fast

you can live at ease

and all your schooling is paid in full

but am I given that luxury

even though

I can recite kinetic theory,

know the rules of grammar,

know the 4th and 5th derivative of y=x⁷ +e^2x ?

because I can't read fast

I'm not smart enough

because I can't finish your test in the allotted time

My score wasn't good enough

I didn't get the good scholarships

I feel belittled because my score was low

I'm just as intelligent as the rest

maybe even more

but do they care?
