She
Abandoned by those of her conception
A father who rose who was in the house
And she was one of the exceptions
An advantage to raising her fatherless child

A child of an absent mother
When present she brought
Her word and verbs
Belittled her worth
Resiliently righting the wrong of her parents
Through her child that is me

On a summer day there came a child
His father wasn’t there for his entrance
And Oh what his missing through his son’s life

This woman struggles, working for two
With no helping hand
Selfless Hand extended helping others get through
With no thank you
Her struggling stays her own
Alone

She lives life always
On the high road
No matter how low
It takes her sometimes

What a sacrifice living life
Repressing and addressing the past
Struggling working for two
Helping others through
Giving your Last
Without a thank you
Taken guaranteed
But she where’s the biggest smile
Beautiful Contradiction
But she remembers
Its darkest before dawn
Dionne's near dawn
